The Production Supervisor is responsible for aiding the Production Managers with the running of the factory. They will supervise production, resolve both production and staffing issues, complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner and ensure factory standards are adhered to .
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee production and resolve any issues. Informing Production Managers and/or the Factory Manager if any issues cannot be resolved.
* Monitor product standards and having a sound knowledge of the quality control programmes implemented.
* Liaise and co-operate with the quality assurance department to ensure products are produced to the correct standard and to customer specifications.
* Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to and challenge any individual who is not working to these standards.
* Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times by factory operatives and any other individuals on the factory floor.
* Support Company polices and ensure all members of staff adhere to them at all times. This includes taking disciplinary action and as and when required. Disciplinary forms must be passed to the HR Department.
* Lead, supervise and motivate factory operatives.
* Take a daily register of staff and pass this to reception in a timely manner.
* Ensure any staff member who has been absent have completed a ‘Return to Work’ form and have been cleared and authorised to return to the factory floor and food handling.
* Identify the training needs of factory operatives and supporting the training team in providing staff for training so these training needs can be met.
* Respond to any first aid incidents/accidents in a timely manner.

Hours of Work
* Normal contractual hours of work are 45 hours. The normal dayshift working day is from 06.00-15.00 or 07.00-16.00, the normal backshift working day is from 15.00-00.00 Monday to Friday inclusive. However, your working times may vary and will depend on the demands of the role and the needs of the business.
