Responsibilities
* Act as deputy to the Clinical Pharmacist Leads for Medicine/Surgery.
* Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to a clinical area(s) and give clinical pharmacy cover to other areas as required.

* Undertake teaching and clinical supervision of pharmacists, foundation pharmacists, Medicines Optimisation Technicians and undergraduate pharmacy students.
* Conduct audits and service improvement projects within clinical pharmacy.

It hosts specialist teams, including a Specialist Mental Health Pharmacy, an oncology & haematology team, and a satellite pharmacy. Pharmacy is a key part of projects such as the award‑winning pharmacist prescriber service in the orthopaedic pre‑admission clinic.
Benefits
We offer an excellent package that includes exclusive benefits, flexible working opportunities and the chance to gain valuable experience within innovative hospitals located in city centres with easy access to shops and cafés.
Our Commitment
We are a friendly, inclusive department that nurtures and develops staff at all grades, from a mentoring programme for Band 6 pharmacists to the development of pharmacist prescribers. We support the South West Inclusive Pharmacy Practice manifesto (https://pwds.nhs.uk/associates/sw-ipp/).
