Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our client. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of process operations, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Responsibilities
Monitor and control production processes to ensure optimal performance and quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot any process-related issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine process documentation.
Maintain accurate records of production data, including yields, downtime, and quality metrics.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the manufacturing process.
Provide training and support to new team members on process operations.
Be responsible for the running and upkeep of a wide range of machinery and equipment on site.
Make sure that all machinery is running efficiently, checked, and maintained in order to meet production targets.
Assist in the training of other technicians and be open to attending additional training to enhance your skills set.
Use your experience of working in injection moulding / blow moulding / extrusion or injection stretch moulding to full advantage.
Display knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics ( for mechanically biased Technicians )
Have experience of bespoke automation / assembly equipment ( for electrically biased Technicians )
Requirements
Proven experience as a Process Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of process control systems and equipment operation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing processes is advantageous.
A relevant technical qualification or certification in engineering or manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
Previous injection moulding experience is essential for this role.
