We have an exciting role on offer within our Neighbourhoods team as a Community Safety Co-ordinator. About Us An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Safety Co-ordinator to work with a wide range of key agencies to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour across Middlesbrough. Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour is one of the Elected Mayor’s key priorities. We are looking for a dedicated officer to provide strategic support to Middlesbrough’s Community Safety Partnership. This is a very exciting time to be joining the team and the successful applicant will have a real opportunity to make a difference to the way the service is delivered. The post holder will support the work of the neighbourhood model as well as the Community Safety Partnership. This post will involve participation in ongoing consultation, development, implementation and co-ordination of strategic plans. You will also be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all criminal justice agencies, treatment providers and other support agencies. To be successful in this post you must have excellent communication skills and have experience in the community safety field. You will have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently using your own initiative. You will also need to be an exceptionally good communicator who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of Middlesbrough residents and have the personal skills to carry this out.
