Job Introduction
We are looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals to join as Retail Assistants at our store on the High Street in Glynneath.
Job Role:
As a Shop Assistant you will be at the forefront of our store driving customer service. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working closely with customers and other members of your team to maximise sales. Although sales are important, we want our customers to enjoy visiting our shop and ultimately come back again, it is your job to provide help and assistance to the customer and ensure they find everything they need whilst they are in our store. Product knowledge is essential for you to respond to customer inquiries and make appropriate recommendations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet each customer with a warm and friendly welcome
· Listen to and talk with customers to find out what their needs are
· Lead and have accountability for your shift
· Make sure security procedures are followed during store open and close routines
· Do your best to ensure the customer finds everything they want
· Be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and services
· Always be in store, on time, smartly dressed and ready to serve
· Always think 25 when serving age restricted products
· Work as part of a team to complete store duties
· You will need to be confident enough to work on your own once you have received full training

Kumar Stores runs a network of retail stores within Swansea, Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend areas.
**Must be able to work Evenings & Weekends 2pm-9pm**
**Must be flexible for holiday cover**
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 21 per week
