Job Description
3. Assist with commercial property transactions, including drafting and reviewing documents such as contracts, leases, licenses, and reports on title.
4. Conduct title checks and searches using Land Registry and other relevant databases.
5. Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and SDLT returns.
6. Assist with the exchange and completion process, including pre- and post-completion formalities.
7. Liaise with clients, estate agents, local authorities, and other third parties.
8. Prepare and collate transaction documentation and bundles.
9. Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
10. Support solicitors with ongoing management of commercial lease portfolios.
11. Carry out legal research and due diligence as required.
The Successful Applicant
12. Prior experience as a paralegal in commercial property law (typically 1-2 years minimum).
13. Strong knowledge of commercial conveyancing processes.
14. Proficiency in using Land Registry and HMRC portals.
15. Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
16. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
17. Strong IT skills, including case management systems and Microsoft Office.
18. Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
