Location: Maidenhead (Office Based), Full time, Permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising Procurement Operations: Oversee the procurement team in the UK and support the international teams when required, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
* Develop Procurement strategies: Assist in creating and implementing a procurement strategy that aligns with organisational goals and objectives.
* Negotiate Contracts: Assist in negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Monitor Performance: Set performance goals for the procurement team and monitor KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.li>
* Cost Saving Initiatives: Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities while mitigating supply risks and ensuring high-quality products and services.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Evaluate supplier performance, complete supplier audits, conduct regular reviews, and foster long‑term partnerships to enhance procurement processes.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and departmental managers to understand their needs and provide timely and cost‑effective procurement solutions.
* Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement activities.
* Operational Compliance & ISO Auditing & Certification: Work closely with colleagues ensuring companywide compliance with the four ISO management standards, supporting preparation for audits and renewal of certifications, and ensuring employees are equipped with appropriate uniform/PPE/tools.
Qualifications / Experience
* Beneficial – A Business Management or Supply Chain Management Degree.
* Experience – Proven experience in procurement or supply chain, with a track record of leading teams and working on sourcing projects.
* Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively across departments. Excellent negotiation skills are essential.
* Must Have: A hands‑on approach; this is not a delegate‑only role, you must be prepared to get stuck in, work at pace, and develop your own skills and career while picking up additional tasks to support the business where required.
