Job Description:
Happy Energy Solutions Ltd is expanding its team and is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Retrofit Business Development Officer to lead engagement with local authorities and social housing providers. This role involves driving energy efficiency initiatives and building strong partnerships to support carbon-saving projects across communities.

Responsibilities include:
* Acting as the main contact for local authorities and social housing providers within a designated area.
* Promoting HESL’s offerings, including ECO funding, HEATflex, local HEAT websites, and carbon-saving solutions.
* Advising stakeholders on funding and energy efficiency measures.
* Developing partnerships with charities, community groups, and housing providers.
* Planning and delivering community engagement events.
* Coordinating project implementation and stakeholder communication.
* Supporting funding applications and reporting on outcomes like carbon and energy bill savings.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, especially with local authorities or housing providers.
* Understanding of carbon reduction strategies, ECO/HEATflex schemes, and energy funding.
* Strong communication skills.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
* Experience with community events and programs.
* Organizational and reporting skills.
* Experience with charities or community groups (desirable).
* Knowledge of local government frameworks and funding cycles.
* Qualifications in environmental sciences, energy management, or related fields (desirable).
Location: Hybrid, home-based within close proximity to London and the South East. Regular travel to meetings in London, the South East, and occasionally further afield.
