Service Engineer - Access MachineryLocation: Near Truro, CornwallHours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - FridaySalary: Up to £40,000 Dependent on Experience.Holiday: 28 Days incl. Bank HolidaysSector: Engineering, Maintenance, Access MachineryOur client is a specialist company that provides powered access equipment hire across the South West of England, including Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and surrounding areas. The company supplies a wide range of machinery such as cherry pickers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, spider lifts, and ultra booms for construction and industrial projects.
They also offer site surveys, qualified operators, and engineering support to ensure customers receive the most suitable and safe access solution for their work. As part of the Access Link network and an IPAF Rental+ accredited company, they deliver nationwide coverage while maintaining high standards in safety, training, and customer service.They are now looking to recruit a service engineer to support their busy Cornwall depot, playing a key role in the maintenance, servicing, inspection, and repair of a wide range of powered access equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all machinery is maintained to the highest safety and performance standards, minimising downtime and supporting efficient operations across the depot. Strong teamwork skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently while managing workloads effectively will be essential for success in this role.Position DutiesServicing, inspection, maintenance and repair of equipment including but not limited to scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, static booms and ultra booms.Ensuring high level safety and performance standards while in post for all equipmentUpdate and maintain details and accurate records of servicing and maintenanceFault find and diagnostics of power access equipmentStrong Ability to read and understand drawings and instructionsCompletion of new equipment training as necessaryPosition RequirementsIPAF Qualification is essential along with CAP qualificationBackground in servicing and maintenance of powered access equipment, or similar equipmentElectrical and hydraulic experienceAbility to prioritise work to minimise downtime cost in between use of equipment and align with demandFull Driving LicenceAbility the reliably commute to the Cornwall based Depot dailyThe successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team and independently as required.Position RemunerationSalary up to £40,000 depending on experienceRegular working hours, Monday to Friday with some flexibility available to the right candidate20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidaysCompany pension schemeThis is an opportunity to join a well-established, market leader in powered access equipment and servicing.Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
