A thriving independent school in Taunton is looking for a skilled and engaging Music Teacher to join its Creative Arts Faculty. Music is at the centre of school life, and students of all ages engage in choral and instrumental programmes, workshops, and public performances.
The department has dedicated music classrooms, a recording studio, and regular external masterclasses. The role will involve teaching across KS3 to A-Level, directing choirs or instrumental groups, and contributing to musical theatre productions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate music educator with experience in a variety of genres and the ability to motivate students in both curricular and co-curricular music.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Music + QTS or experience in independent schools
• Classroom teaching across secondary levels (KS3–KS5)
• Ability to lead choirs, orchestras, or bands
• Enthusiasm for curriculum development and public performance
• Right to work in the UK
