We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for our well-established client based in the Fenton area. The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain the efficiency of the machinery on site at Stoke, identify any faults and respond to equipment breakdowns and arrange repairs or replacements.
Working Hours:Mon Thu 12-8:30pm + Fri 9am 5:30pm (including 30-min unpaid break)
Must have experience in: Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulics
Main Responsibilities
Ideally will have previous experience with PM schedules etc
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing machinery to ensure uninterrupted production.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.
Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure precision and accuracy in the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with production teams to maintain equipment settings aligned with product specifications.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities.
Generate reports on machinery performance, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
Implement safety measures and conduct risk assessments related to machinery operations.
Work closely with production teams to understand operational needs and address any machinery-related issues promptly.
Provide technical support and training to operators on equipment usage and maintenance best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in machinery operations.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades and modifications.
Personal Specification
Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in diagnosing and repairing machinery.
Knowledge of CNC machines, extrusion lines, and other equipment used in window and door manufacturing.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Have good communication with various departments.
