Senior Quantity Surveyor - D&B HousingLocation - StockportSalary/Package - £65,000 - £75,000About the CompanyA growing and forward-thinking residential developer delivering high-quality design & build housing schemes across the North West. With a strong pipeline of developments and a reputation for delivering modern family homes to an exceptional standard, the business offers a collaborative environment and genuine long-term career progression opportunities.The RoleDue to continued growth, an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Managing the commercial aspects of D&B housing developments from inception to completionPreparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsProcuring subcontractors and negotiating contract termsManaging subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accountsMonitoring project costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineeringEnsuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standardsProducing accurate monthly CVRs and financial reportingWorking collaboratively with site and project management teams to support successful project deliveryManaging risk and resolving commercial issues effectivelyBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience as a Senior QS within the residential construction sectorStrong knowledge of D&B housing projectsExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processesStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and financial management skillsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferredFull UK driving licenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary and attractive packageLong-term career progression within a growing businessOpportunity to work on high-quality residential developmentsSupportive and collaborative working environmentStable pipeline of secured work across the North WestExposure to exciting and ambitious projects within the housing sectorApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
