Position
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join the Dermatology Service as a Band 7 Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) based at City Health Campus, Sheldon Block.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a specialist caseload of patients with skin cancer, delivering advanced assessment and clinical decision‑making.
* Act as a Key Worker, ensuring continuity, coordination, and personalised care throughout the patient pathway.
* Provide expert advice on symptom management, treatment pathways, and patient support.
* Support timely progression through the cancer pathway, working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* Contribute to MDT preparation, coordination, and follow‑up of agreed care plans.
* Deliver nurse‑led clinics and support outpatient activity where appropriate.
* Provide education, support, and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
* Contribute to staff development through teaching and clinical support.
* Participate in audit, research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
* Support the development and implementation of evidence‑based practice within dermatology and cancer care.
* Provide leadership and support to junior staff, including supervision where required.
* Contribute to service development and innovation to improve patient outcomes and experience.
