Now in our 11th year, we cover the global business for senior executives across labels, publishers, management companies, investment houses, concert promoters, streaming platforms, and beyond. We also run the prestigious annual Music Business UK Awards in London (celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026), with a pipeline of additional high-level events planned. The Role We're hiring an Operations & Events Manager to take ownership of our events, manage cross-functional projects, and drive operational improvements across the business. The role is roughly 40% events, 40% operational projects, and 20% coordination. You'll be the person who makes things happen whether that's delivering a 500-guest awards ceremony, refining and expanding our subscriptions strategy, or launching exclusive networking and conference events. Events End-to-end operational delivery of the Music Business UK Awards: submissions, judging coordination, voter management, programme creation, seating plans, sponsor deliverables, and on-the-night logistics working alongside an external event production manager who handles venue and AV Project-managing the launch of new MBW events Working alongside our commercial team on sponsor and table sale coordination (you deliver, they sell) Operational Projects Management of subscriptions and jobs board: client liaison, email construction, product improvement (working with digital team) Subscription marketing: creating promotional assets for newsletters and online First point of contact for customer and subscriber queries managing issues, handling refund requests, and escalating where necessary Process improvements across the business Coordination & Freelancer Management Key point of contact for awards nominees, voters, sponsors, and suppliers Keeping projects on track and deadlines met Hiring and managing freelancers for social media and design, including briefing, quality control, and day-to-day oversight Who You Are Proven experience managing events or complex projects from start to finish Exceptionally organised, able to juggle multiple workstreams Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving team Excellent communicator you'll be corresponding with senior industry figures Confident with digital tools: form builders, spreadsheets, project management software, AI tools, and basic design tools (e.g. Canva) Diplomatic and discreet you'll handle confidential information Knowledge of / genuine interest in the music industry a strong plus but not essential Practicalities Start date: April/May 2026 Location: Hybrid 12 days per week in office Reporting to: Founder/Publisher
