Are you friendly, reliable and passionate about delivering excellent customer service? DN Colleges Group is seeking a
Catering Assistant
to join our on-site catering team. You'll play a key role in preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and ensuring our students, staff and visitors enjoy a welcoming and professional catering experience.
This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your contribution helps create a positive atmosphere across our college sites.
Actual Salary: £13,428.86 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday (9:00am - 14:00pm) / 25 hours per week / 35 weeks in a year
Essential Criteria
* Relevant Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to work towards).
* Experience in a similar catering or customer service role.
* Experience of food preparation, cooking and service.
* Good communication and timekeeping skills.
* Friendly, professional manner and a smart appearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing food, snacks and drinks, including baking.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
* Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers.
* Report customer feedback and complaints to the Catering Manager.
* Support the wider Estates and Facilities team as needed.
* Work flexibly across college sites and contribute to team success.
* Undertake mandatory training and participate in staff development.
* Support students on placement within the catering area.

The LET's Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
