We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, following care plans, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding.
* Help implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure high-quality care.
* Drive to clients’ homes when required for home care services, ensuring safe transportation.
* Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits.
* A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
