Overview
Our Maintenance team is a key member of MacTaggart Scott's success; they are responsible for ensuring our facilities run smoothly by conducting routine repairs, maintenance, and managing breakdowns to restore equipment to operational capacity promptly. Our maintenance team aims to minimize downtime, supporting production schedules.
Focusing on the Mechanical side, Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery with hydraulic or pneumatic components. Based on the shop floor, you will monitor and maintain our machines to ensure smooth production and conduct repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Requirements
* Good all-round knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and equipment.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
* Knowledge of manual and CNC machine repair.
* Experience in general maintenance and repair of buildings.
* Counterbalance forklift experience.
* Overhead crane experience.
* Quick thinking and the ability to handle situations as they arise.
* Ability to work independently using initiative.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Completion of a time-served apprenticeship.
