About the Role As a Production Shift Lead, you'll play a critical part in the smooth, efficient and safe running of our production areas. You'll oversee Line Leaders across both high-risk and low-risk environments, ensuring targets are met while maintaining excellent standards of quality, compliance, and team performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading people, and improving ways of working to drive results. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Lead and brief your team daily to drive performance and support development. Coordinate staffing levels across lines and reallocate resource when required. Ensure strong communication with both your team and management. Oversee time & attendance processes and support disciplinary procedures where needed. Organise staff training in partnership with the Training Team. Carry out quality checks and ensure food safety records are completed accurately. Resolve complex production issues and guide the team with clear direction. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions. Identify process improvements and quick-win cost reductions. Maximise slicing line capacity (Grote slicing speeds) and ensure optimum efficiency. Avoid customer shortages and support stock management. Adapt to plan changes to meet deadlines. Ensure all paperwork and procedures are completed correctly and consistently. You'll also be committed to your own development by attending relevant company training.
