Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading Tier 1 Construction Business, offering an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join their team. If you're passionate about environmental management and eager to make a real difference on high-profile projects, this role is for you. Based in Aberdeen or Inverness, you’ll play a key role in supporting projects across the region.
Why This Role?
As an Environmental Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of driving sustainability and environmental best practices. From live project delivery to shaping pre-construction strategies, this is your chance to influence meaningful change across multiple construction projects while ensuring environmental compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Champion ISO 14001 Compliance: Lead regular inspections and audits to uphold best practices, driving continuous improvement across projects.
* Lead On-Site Environmental Practices: Take ownership of environmental checks, site audits, and assessments, ensuring all projects meet regulatory standards.
* Support Pre-Construction Excellence: Provide expert environmental input during pre-construction phases, enhancing bids with sustainability innovations and mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate & Influence: Partner with project teams and clients to promote sustainability, reduce environmental risks, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven Environmental Expertise: Solid experience in environmental management, ideally within construction or a related sector. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and EMS implementation is highly desirable.
* Proactive & Results-Driven: A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can tackle challenges while delivering measurable environmental improvements.
* Engaging Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and actionable environmental advice.
* Flexibility & Commitment: Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across the Southern region.
Why Apply?
This is more than just a job - it’s an opportunity to be part of something bigger. You’ll work on high-impact projects that contribute to advancing sustainability in the construction industry. With the autonomy to lead environmental initiatives and collaborate with an organisation committed to reducing environmental impacts, you’ll be empowered to make a real difference.
