Job Title: Installation Team Operative Department: Projects Location: Site based, Nationally (Reporting to Stafford Head Office) Position: Full Time Hours: 41.5 ​ Principle Purpose of Position: As Installation Team Operative you will be one of our vital on-the-ground team members, who carry out the installation of our products in line with drawings and site-specific requirements. Key Roles and Responsibilities: ​ Consider worksite Health & Safety as of paramount importance. Take pride in all activities, ensuring that work is completed on time, to a high standard and in line with health and safety instructions. Safely undertake tasks allocated by the Installation Team Leader. Where suitably trained and competent, operate and care for any Plant or Equipment that is provided. Carry out and record daily checks on all plant and equipment prior to use. Wear all PPE stipulated in the RAMS and adhere to site inductions. Do not commence any tasks until confirming that all permits are in place and signed. Check delivered quantities of materials and plant at the commencement of the works Strive towards an efficient use of construction resources and materials. Adhere to the agreed RAMS at all times. Should this be believed to be unsuitable at any time then cease works and consult with Team Leader. Maintain the cleanliness and order of construction sites, removing debris or unused material to a central location if necessary. Adhere to Westgate Global company policy and procedures. Load / Unload Materials, Equipment or Plant. An ability and desire to work at height. Take note of Toolbox Talks, ensuring that these are understood. Installation in line with technical drawings, plans and checklists. Take responsibility for the Tools and Van allocated to the team. An ability and desire to undertake physical labour and manual tasks. Develop detailed knowledge of Westgate products and installation methods. Foster repeat business through Class leading Customer Service and behaviours. Additional Tasks as required ​ ​Working conditions: A normal working week is Monday-Friday with weekends optional when the work is available. Travelling up to 2 hours each way to and from site, so 4 hours daily may be required. 1 hour of this will be considered your own time. Lodging will be provided in excess of 4 hours daily travel. Contracted hours are 41.5. This may fluctuate daily to suit customer needs and site requirements, but we aim to stay within contracted hours. You may be required to travel outside of your contracted hours. For hours travelled in excess of your contracted hours you will receive time off in lieu (TOIL), for hours worked outside of your contracted hours you may paid in addition to your salary, this is at your managers discretion. Overnight stays will be required, based on operational requirements. You may be required to pick up and drop off team members in the Company vehicle We work on High Security sites (MoD, prisons, Nuclear etc) so security vetting may be required. ​ Skills and Competencies: Great team worker Good timekeeper and communicator Willingness to learn Willingness to use initiative and solve problems Understanding of class-leading customer service ​ Experience: Construction or fit-out site experience Physically fit and able Working at height Use of power tools Familiarity with architectural and design drawings Able to complete check sheets, basic equipment inspections and IT literate ​ Qualifications: Required: Full UK Driving License.
