Are you a Vehicle Build Technician with a passion for robotic vehicles and an interest in, or currently working with, autonomous robot technology? If so, we are looking to talk with you about an exciting opportunity to join Earth Rover Ltd.


In this role you will be responsible for assembly and commissioning of autonomous field robots. This will include assembly, rework and repair of our patented Lightweeder module technology and the CLAWS rover, ensuring high quality products ready for the customer. You will be working closely with the R&D team to assist future development in Design for Manufacture and Assembly, as well as supporting build related problem solving in a structured manner.


Earth Rover is a start-up company founded in 2017 to solve the challenges faced by an organic farm and more importantly for all farms who want to reduce their reliance on chemicals and accelerate the journey to Net Zero.

We are looking for ambitious, self-starters who seek to innovate, and actively contribute as a member of the wider team. You will have the opportunity to grow and carve out your future development in a fast-moving, agile environment.


Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for build and commissioning of autonomous field robots and support the evolution of assembly procedures and quality checks to support end of line commissioning and sign-off of product for delivery to the end customer.
* You will build on your experience from an industrial robotics, automotive, agricultural or off-highway vehicle background and bring your skills and advice to revolutionary business and technology.
* A passion for completing a job to high standards efficiently, accurately, and safely are a must..


Qualifications

Essential experience, training or skills:

- Background in build or repair of agri/ off highway equipment or robotic equipment.

- Experience in Electrical Wiring and Electronics assembly.

- Ability to work to a structured Problem-Solving methodology (8D, Triz, or equivalent)

- Ability to communicate effectively as part of a remote team and build high performing relationships with all stakeholders.

- Excellent attention to detail, high levels of organisation.

- Enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness and ability to learn new skills quickly.

- Training and capability in safe handling of heavy equipment.
