We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with deep expertise in Workday payroll processing to join our client's dynamic team during a critical transformation period.
As a large organization supporting diverse employee populations across multiple states—including hourly, salaried, union, and non-union employees—we need a payroll expert who can navigate complex scenarios and ensure seamless operations.
What You Will Work On
* Workday Payroll Operations: Process complex multi-state payroll for diverse employee populations including hourly, salaried, union, and non-union employees
* Execute Workday EIB Functions: Utilize Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) for efficient payroll data management, imports, and processing workflows
* Support Consolidation Project: Support payroll integration activities as separate entities are merged into one streamlined corporate structure
* Ensure Compliance: Maintain accuracy across multiple state tax jurisdictions, union agreements, and regulatory requirements
* Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
What You Will Bring
* 3+ years of hands-on experience processing payroll specifically through Workday HCM
* Proven expertise with Workday EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) for payroll data management
* Experience managing payroll for large organizations with diverse employee classifications
* Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
* Experience with both union and non-union payroll processing
Technical Skills:
* Advanced proficiency in Workday Payroll module
* Strong understanding of Workday EIB functionality and data integration processes
* Experience with payroll system consolidations or implementations preferred
* Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
Professional Attributes:
* Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in high-volume processing
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Experience working on enterprise-level transformation projects preferred
