Role Summary
At this leading global market maker, Trading Technology Production Engineers work very closely with teams from trading, quantitative, business, & software engineering to support and enhance core trading applications with cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the configuration of multiple production silos, covering multiple asset classes
2. Improve uptime, capacity, and performance of trading systems
3. Diagnose and resolve critical production issues, managing incident tracking, analysis and reporting
4. Work with development and QA teams in regression testing functionality and stress testing application servers
5. Build automation and processes that reduce the impact of mistakes and eliminate recurring incidents
6. Revise software designs to mitigate failures in other parts of the stack
7. Contribute to service quality by participating in product development from idea and inception
8. Manage critical and direct communication lines with traders, business managers, and development leads on all aspects of projects
Skills and Preferred Qualifications
9. Significant experience in UNIX/Linux and troubleshooting network connectivity problems
10. Experience in developing in a high-level scripting or object-oriented programming language such as Python
11. Experience in writing SQL database queries in MS SQL Server or other common SQL database platforms
12. Exposure to CI/CD, SDLC, testing methodologies and test tools
13. Proven experience in building, deploying and supporting large-scale distributed applications
14. Knowledge of trading systems and applications, including order management systems and FIX engines
15. Prior experience in supporting a trading desk
16. Solid communication and interpersonal skills
