Job Title: Draughtsperson / CAD Engineer (Setter Out)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
Hours: Full-time, 44 hours per week
(Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm | Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm)

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled and collaborative team of Draughtspersons / Setter Outs. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to interpret architectural drawings and 3D visuals, producing accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle—from initial concept through to manufacturing—ensuring all approved drawings are prepared and issued to the shop floor for production.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret architectural drawings and 3D visuals
Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings
Work closely with internal teams to ensure design feasibility
Prepare and release drawings for manufacturing
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience designing for manufacture
Knowledge of joinery and/or metalwork
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Desirable Skills
Experience using AutoCAD and/or Inventor
Previous hands-on experience in joinery
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
