Project Manager - BSIP We focus on three core areas, which are coastal and highway assets, highways and urban design, and project management. We work on a variety of civil engineering projects across the city to support the realisation of the Council's Plan. The Role This is a temporary Project Manager role for about one year to support in the successful delivery of a number of medium scale construction projects around the city. Your role will be to successfully support and lead the project management of medium scale civil engineering schemes from inception through to completion. You will work closely with officers, contractors and elected members to ensure that the highest standards are achieved within the constraints of time and budget. Your main duties and responsibilities will be: Project Management Financial Control Scheme Implementation and Delivery Communication Training Who is the person? You need to be/have: An appropriate professional project management qualification (e.g. Prince 2) and ideally membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. APM) or clear evidence that you are working towards these. Minimum 3 years of relevant post graduate experience. Ability to manage small scale civil engineering projects (values up to £500,000) from initiation through to successful completion.
