Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join our Sizewell team. To be considered, you will come from a Civil Engineering background.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee high-value, fast-turnover, or complex delivery programmes. The role involves managing multiple workstreams and providing detailed customer reporting.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Managing project planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure to meet timeframes and budgets.
2. Ensuring effective programme management, including short-term planning and communication.
3. Administering and approving contract programmes (e.g., Cl31, Cl32, CE, Cl14).
4. Resource planning for staff, operatives, and supply chain.
5. Understanding and correctly administering project contract documents.
6. Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work.
7. Managing third-party interfaces and liaising with stakeholders.
8. Supporting safety initiatives and hazard reporting programs.
9. Ensuring quality management in accordance with the Quality Management Plan.
10. Implementing document control procedures and electronic platforms.
11. Developing project controls for reporting and KPI adherence.
12. Managing designers and consultants, including timely delivery of design work.
13. Actively managing project risks and opportunities.
14. Overseeing cost and value management, including resource updates and change recovery.
15. Preparing and presenting monthly project reports and reviews.
16. Supporting work-winning activities and bid management.
17. Leading by example to foster a positive leadership environment.
18. Performing additional duties as appropriate and complying with company policies.
Experience and Knowledge:
* Extensive construction knowledge and techniques.
* Proven track record in managing operational delivery in construction projects.
* Experience with large-scale projects and temporary works.
* Managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
* Experience presenting reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
* CSCS certification.
* CITB 5-Day Safety Supervisor certification.
Skills:
* Proficiency in IT
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Client and team engagement abilities
* Organized, proactive, positive attitude, and eager to learn
* Strong planning and organizational skills
