Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the identification and assessment of enterprise-wide risks, including financial, operational, regulatory, commercial, and reputational risks.
* Participate in risk assessment workshops and collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risk impact on business operations.
* Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and assist in developing risk dashboards to track risk exposure.
* Contribute to risk reports for senior management and relevant committees, ensuring timely and accurate communication of risk status.
* Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
* Identify control gaps and propose solutions to strengthen internal controls and risk management practices.
* Create and update risk management policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Support the communication of risk policies across the organisation to ensure compliance and awareness.
* Maintain and improve the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
* Integrate risk management principles into business processes and decision-making.
* Gather, analyse, and synthesise risk-related data to support decision-making and strategy development.
* Document risk assessments, mitigation actions, and resolutions clearly and accurately.
* Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Cyber teams to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Provide support for risk workshops, audits, and other risk-related initiatives.
Requirements:
* Experience in risk management, audit/internal audit, compliance, or a related field.
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Experience with risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, or enterprise risk management frameworks.
* Understanding of financial controls and experience in identifying and assessing financial controls.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Experience with risk management software, GRC tools, or data analysis tools is a plus.
* Knowledge of risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000, Sarbanes Oxley).
* Familiarity with enterprise risk management principles and practices.
