Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage hydrogeology and contaminated land projects from start to finish, ensuring robust technical delivery, budget control, and strong client relationships.
Provide specialist input across groundwater assessment, water resources, and environmental risk evaluation.
Develop conceptual site models, interpret complex data, and prepare clear, high-quality technical reports and risk assessments.
Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the long-term growth of the hydrogeology service line.
Mentor and guide junior team members, helping to build skills and share knowledge across the team.
Keep up to date with emerging technical developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practice.
Required Skills and Experience:
Solid technical background in hydrogeology, with experience across contaminated land and groundwater resource projects.
Competence in analytical modelling tools such as RTM, CLEA, ConSim, or RAM. Experience with numerical groundwater modelling (e.g., MODFLOW or FEFLOW) is an advantage.
Practical field experience, including drilling supervision, soil and water sampling, groundwater monitoring, and aquifer testing.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate teams, and deliver work to a high standard.
Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., GeolSoc, IES, IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent).
Degree (BSc/BEng) in a relevant subject; MSc or postgraduate qualification preferred.
Full UK driving licence.
