Industrial Automation Application Engineer – South East UK, you must live within this area.
Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered for this opportunity. You must also have relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading industrial automation equipment suppliers as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The successful candidate will be required to live in the South East area of the UK. This is a work-from-home role.
The Application Engineer is an expert providing the best technical consulting and solutions for key Industrial Automation applications to the Sales Teams during the pre-sales phase, considering commercial aspects when proposing solutions, and supporting assigned projects. As each Application Engineer has specific expertise, for this role, commissioning, software, and controls functionalities are the required fields of expertise.
Key Aspects Of The Role :
* Independently translates multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software fields using the latest technologies.
* Focuses on the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
* Responsible for specification lists and technical elements of customer proposals.
* Creates Requirement Specifications with the customer.
* Ensures deadlines are met and projects are realized successfully.
* Reports activities and developments related to projects and manages project data accurately.
* Addresses complaints by setting up action plans as necessary.
* Discusses machine concepts to optimize machines, define specifications, and concepts.
* Supports drafting of account plans.
* Acts as an interface between the customer and relevant departments during pre-sales, in coordination with sales engineers.
* Provides technical training and knowledge transfer to the team for specific products and applications.
* Supports questions regarding norms and regulations.
* Identifies and supports project wins.
* Manages commissioning at customer site, coordinating technical activities.
* Supports marketing campaigns and promotional activities within the company.
