Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
The role
As an employment solicitor, you will handle a wide range of employee and employer work, including dismissal and discrimination claims, settlement agreements, tribunal proceedings, pay issues, contracts, HR advice, redundancy and more. You will take full responsibility for files from start to finish, supported by a paralegal/trainee and a case management system.
Responsibilities
* Handle all employment work, from employee to employer cases.
* Take files from start to finish, ensuring timely outcomes.
* Use a case management system for efficient administration.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
* Have 5‑6 years of experience in a similar role and confidently run a full caseload.
* Exhibit strong customer service skills and meet various deadlines.
* Possess excellent organisational and time‑management skills, working well under pressure.
* Be IT‑savvy, with experience using case management systems such as Proclaim or Quill.
* Have an eye for detail and very good verbal and written communication skills.
* Understand confidentiality and Data Protection.
* Work well both in a team and independently.
* Live locally and be willing to train and develop junior staff.
