Key Responsibilities
* Core Accounting & Close
o Own end‑to‑end statutory accounting across AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, accruals, deferrals and payroll posting verification.
o Drive a reliable sub‑5‑day monthly close, with clear policies, documentation and a robust close calendar.
o Prepare monthly and annual financials, coordinate statutory filings and audits, and continuously improve reporting quality.
* Group Accounting, Tax Oversight & Compliance
o Lead multi‑entity statutory reporting, group consolidation and the definition of consistent accounting policies across jurisdictions.
o Oversee cross‑border complexity across VAT, transfer pricing and intercompany processes, knowing when to involve and challenge external advisors.
o Prepare the accounting, tax oversight and control environment to support future capital markets transactions, including a potential IPO.
* Insourcing, Controls & Treasury
o Lead the insourcing of accounting from our external bookkeeper, capturing processes, SLAs, controls and ownership.
o Establish a crisp RACI, close calendar and control framework aligned with audit readiness and multi‑entity operations.
o Oversee payments, bank reconciliations, expense approvals and short‑to‑mid‑term cash visibility, including 13‑week forecasting.
* Team Leadership, Systems & AI‑Native Finance
o Lead, hire, coach and develop an accounting team while defining the future org design for Core Accounting, Treasury and Tax.
o Evaluate and implement a next‑generation ERP and finance automation stack that can support n8n’s scale.
o Partner with RevOps, People, Legal, Data, Engineering and GTM teams on topics such as revenue recognition and quote‑to‑cash.
