DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Communications Department at MJ Quinn plays a pivotal role in shaping and sharing the company’s voice—both internally and externally. As a central function within the business, the team ensures that all messaging reflects MJ Quinn’s values, supports operational goals, and strengthens engagement across all levels of the organisation.
JOB OBJECTIVE
To lead and deliver impactful internal and external communications that support MJ Quinn’s business growth, enhance brand awareness, and foster employee engagement. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment with company objectives.
Principle Accountabilities :
This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform various tasks as required by your evolving role within the organisation and overall business objectives. This job description will be updated in alignment with company activities and role development.
Strategic Communications
* Develop and execute integrated communication plans aligned with MJ Quinn’s business goals.
* Lead content creation for campaigns, press releases, and stakeholder communications.
* Support crisis communications and reputation management initiatives.
Internal Engagement
* Drive employee engagement through newsletters, bulletins, and intranet content.
* Collaborate with HR and the Training Academy to support onboarding and cultural integration.
* Monitor feedback channels and implement improvements based on employee input.
External Branding
* Execution of B2C marketing campaigns in line with company goals
* Manage social media strategy and content across platforms.
* Oversee website updates and digital storytelling to attract talent and clients.
* Represent MJ Quinn at events, job fairs, and media engagements.
Leadership & Collaboration
* Mentor junior team members, including the Communications Assistant.
* Liaise with operational teams, senior leadership, and external partners to ensure message consistency.

Essential Criteria
Education & Qualifications
* Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a communications or marketing role.
* Proven track record of delivering strategic campaigns across multiple channels.
* Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced organisation.
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Ability to interpret data and analytics to inform strategy.
* Proficiency in digital tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CMS platforms).
* Confident in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
