What You Will Do
As a Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in planning, developing, and executing capital projects. You will support technical developments, assess the feasibility of engineering activities within the supply chain, and manage capital expense projects to drive growth, world-class manufacturing, and productivity while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. You will also leverage Mondelēz\'s project management processes and ensure adherence to company standards.
Your Responsibilities
* Project scope could cover many areas but especially chocolate moulding & forming processes, packaging, palletising and site infrastructure & services.
* Concurrently manages a portfolio of projects (upwards of $5MM per annum).
* Develops fit-for-purpose technical solutions, creates and implements state-of-the-art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets, and roll out best practices; creates detailed technical specifications and reports.
* Collaborates with key stakeholders from multiple departments to define and execute capital and technical agendas during the complete project cycle; shares and learns from best practices across the Mondelez global network.
* Develops and delivers accurate budgets, forecast cash flow, and seeks best value for cost on chosen schemes.
* Creates effective time plans with defined tasks, durations, dependencies, resources, deadlines, and risk considerations.
* Ensures implementation of engineering safety, quality, hygiene and environmental standards; reverse engineering where information does not exist.
* Manages suppliers and contractors throughout the project.
* Challenges existing practices and technologies to improve factory productivity, safety and quality; drives several capital projects to support the factory forward plan.
* Develops ongoing professional knowledge of confectionery making, wrapping, packing and services, especially within the Chocolate category; keeps external supplier developments up to date.
You will also support the broader site and cluster teams as a key technical expert, leading significant projects. This position is based in Bournville, but you may be asked to work at any of the UK&I Confectionery plants as needed.

What You Need to Know About This Position
* Relevant experience in Project Management Engineering, ideally within food or FMCG industry.
* An engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Electrical) or equivalent education/experience.
* Understanding of process, packaging, control, services and infrastructure in a relevant FMCG industry.
* Experience managing capital projects and working within project teams.
* Experience leading and developing diverse cross-functional teams.
* Software experience: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project); AutoCAD; project management software; ERP systems.
* This is a full-time, office-based role located at our Bournville factory, Birmingham.
