Salary up to £75,000 FTE DOE
Fields Vets is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking small animal first-opinion veterinary surgeon to join our progressive team. As a veterinary surgeon at our practice, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including consultations and surgeries, to provide the best care for our patients. There is an element of sole charge work, covering 1:6 Saturday morning surgeries (8am-1pm).
Shift patterns that work for you
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, but we are happy to discuss part time, if you're looking for 2-3 days per week, please get in touch. You will work on a rolling rota with shifts generally between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm including 1:6 Saturday mornings between 8 am-1 pm consulting surgery only. No OOH. Hours worked are open for discussion to ensure you have a good work/life balance.

About our team
Our friendly team is made up of 5 vets and supported by 7 nurses and 3 receptionists, supported by an experienced clinical director and practice manager who is also a registered veterinary nurse. We have one internal medicine certificate holder interested in ultrasonography and dermatology, and one of our nurses holds an anaesthesia certificate and we have a surgery certificate trainee. We also benefit from a visiting referral cardiologist. We strongly support and encourage personal development.
