Job Title: Democratic Services Assistant
Location: County Hall, Haverfordwest
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (up to 12 months)
Salary: Grade 4 or Grade 5 (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join our Democratic Services Team as a Democratic Services Assistant. This is a key administrative role supporting the delivery of democratic services to the Council and its elected Members.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support for Council committees, sub-committees, panels, working groups, and partnership bodies.
* Coordinate and prepare reports for meetings, including the preparation and distribution of agendas.
* Assist with the webcasting of meetings and maintain associated registers, records, reference materials, and databases.
* Support a range of administrative tasks including:
* Maintaining the Calendar of Meetings
* Drafting social media posts
* Managing the schedule of delegated decisions
* Processing invoices
* Coordinating the learning and development programme for elected Members
About You
* Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
* Strong IT skills and proficiency in administrative systems
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Welsh language skills are desirable
