We are seeking a highly accomplished and commercially driven Managing Director to lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the organisation. Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership and overall management of the organisation, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and shareholder expectations.
Develop and execute long-term business strategies designed to support sustainable growth, profitability, and market expansion.
Lead strategic planning, business development, corporate partnerships, and revenue generation initiatives.
Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and operational efficiency across all business functions.
Monitor organisational performance and implement strategies to improve productivity, profitability, and business effectiveness.
Work closely with the Board of Directors to establish strategic priorities, evaluate investment opportunities, and support corporate governance initiatives.
Represent the organisation in high-level engagements with investors, financial institutions, regulators, government agencies, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
Drive organisational transformation, innovation programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, risk management, and governance requirements.
Lead, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high performance.
Provide leadership during acquisitions, restructurings, market expansion projects, strategic partnerships, and other significant corporate initiatives.
Support succession planning and long-term organisational capability development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
MBA, Chartered Director qualification, or other advanced executive leadership credentials are highly desirable.
A minimum of 20 years of professional business experience, including substantial experience in senior executive leadership positions.
At least 10 years of experience serving in executive management roles such as Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director, General Manager, President, or equivalent leadership positions.
Demonstrated success leading medium-sized to large organisations through periods of growth, transformation, operational expansion, or corporate restructuring.
Strong understanding of corporate governance, strategic planning, financial management, risk management, and organisational leadership.
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, negotiate strategic agreements, and drive sustainable business growth.
Extensive experience overseeing multi-functional teams across operations, finance, business development, strategy, and corporate services.
Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and organisational management capabilities.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate effectively within dynamic and international business environments.
Preferred Experience
Experience within financial services, fintech, investment management, technology, digital assets, professional services, international trade, infrastructure, manufacturing, or multinational corporate environments.
Experience reporting directly to boards, investors, shareholders, or private equity stakeholders.
Background in mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, strategic partnerships, corporate finance, or international market development.
International leadership experience across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, or Africa is highly advantageous.
