We're recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety performance across multiple sites throughout Cumbria for a long standing client. This is a hands-on, operational role in a high-risk, regulated environment, working closely with site leadership to drive compliance, reduce risk and embed a strong safety culture.The RoleProvide visible H&S leadership across all operations.Act as the primary health & safety advisor to senior leaders and site managers.Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and sector-specific regulations.Lead risk assessments.Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring robust corrective actions.Deliver site inspections, audits and performance reporting.Identify training needs and deliver or coordinate health & safety training across sites.Support site teams with toolbox talks, safety briefings and behavioural safety initiatives.Coach and mentor managers and supervisors to strengthen safety leadership capability.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents, improve compliance and raise safety standards.Share best practice across sites and promote consistent standards throughout the region.About YouProven H&S management experience in utilities, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry.Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.Experience covering multiple operational sites.NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).Confident, pragmatic and operationally credible.Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.Full UK driving licence.DesirableNEBOSH Diploma or working towards.IOSH Chartered / Graduate membership.ISO 45001 experience.
