R&D Scientist - Global CDMO in Pharmaceutical Industry - 12 month contract
Are you keen to kick-start your career in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry? If you have some R&D experience, particularly with aseptic techniques and protein analytical techniques, this could be the perfect role for you!
Planet Pharma is working closely with a global Clinical Development Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) renowned for their work in the biopharmaceutical industry to develop and manufacture biologic therapies.
In this role, as the R&D Scientist, you will be responsible for providing analytical support using various analytical methods including protein binding and kinetic assessment with ELISA and other techniques. Your responsibilities will include:
* Performing experiments, analyzing data, and reporting results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Reviewing results for accuracy to draw scientific conclusions aligned with experimental goals.
* Developing skills in Protein Function and Interaction, focusing on product binding (e.g., ELISA, Octet, Biacore), metabolic changes (e.g., enzymatic assays), and characterizing Mode of Action (MoA) through cell-based assays.
* Enhancing analytical skills using chromatography-based approaches such as Protein-A affinity and Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC).
This position is a 12-month fully lab-based contract in Slough. It's an excellent opportunity for those with laboratory experience seeking to advance their careers in research and development with a globally recognized life sciences company.
