A rapidly growing enterprise SaaS platform provider is expanding its product team and is looking for a Technical Product Owner with strong exposure to data and platform environments.
This role sits at the centre of a modern engineering organisation, working closely with data engineers, platform engineers and analytics teams to shape the delivery of scalable data capabilities used across a large enterprise ecosystem.
You will play a key role in translating complex technical and data requirements into structured product delivery, ensuring that engineering teams can build reliable, scalable data-driven services that power core platform functionality.
The Opportunity
This is a technical product ownership role focused on data platforms, rather than traditional customer-facing feature development.
You will work directly with engineering teams responsible for: • data pipelines • analytics and reporting platforms • internal data services • platform APIs • scalable SaaS infrastructure
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating between engineering and business stakeholders, helping translate complex platform initiatives into clear product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities • Own and manage the product backlog for data and platform initiatives. • Work closely with data engineers, analytics teams and platform architects to shape delivery priorities. • Translate technical and business requirements into clear user stories, epics and product deliverables. • Collaborate with engineering teams on the delivery of data pipelines, APIs and analytics capabilities. • Ensure product initiatives align with the wider platform strategy and technical architecture. • Facilitate Agile product delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning and roadmap alignment. • Work with stakeholders across the organisation to identify new opportunities to leverage data across the platform. • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with enterprise platform standards.

What They're Looking For • Experience working as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner within engineering teams. • Exposure to data platforms, analytics systems, or technical platform environments. • Experience collaborating closely with software engineers, data engineers, or platform teams. • Strong ability to translate technical requirements into clear backlog items and user stories. • Experience operating within Agile product delivery environments. • Excellent stakeholder communication and prioritisation skills.
