Senior Group Accountant
to join their head office in Sheffield.
Reporting to the Group FCand working closely with the Group FD and CFO, this is a key role responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for the Group. The position offers significant exposure to both operational and strategic finance, making it an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and ambitious accountant seeking to develop within a dynamic, forward-thinking business.
Role Responsibilities
* Review monthly consolidations, including preparing sections of the Board report.
* Lead on half-year results consolidation and interim accounts preparation.
* Assist with statutory financial statements, including Group consolidated accounts and multiple trading subsidiaries (all under IFRS).
* Consolidate forecasts and annual budgets across the Group.
* Liaise with external tax advisors to ensure completion of tax returns and quarterly instalment payments.
* Manage the Group's cash position through accurate tracking, forecasting, and management of bank drawdowns and deposits.
* Support ad hoc projects, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
Person Specification
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with post-qualified experience.
* Practice-trained with strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS).
* Experience within a listed group or consolidation environment (desirable, not essnetial).
* Analytical and commercially minded, with a strong eye for detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise at all levels and influence key stakeholders.
* A proactive team player with a strong work ethic.
* Adaptable and eager to contribute within a growing, fast-paced organisation.
