Library Delivery Driver
Location: Edinburgh Central Library
Rate of Pay: £14.51 per hour
Start Date: April 2026
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 4:00pm (includes 60-minute unpaid break)
Duration: Temporary Ongoing
We are looking for a reliable and organised individuals to support our library distribution service. This role involves transporting books and materials across libraries in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities
* Loading the van each morning with books and materials for delivery
* Follow a pre-planned route to visit multiple library locations
* Deliver boxes of books to libraries and collect returns
* Work collaboratively in a two-person team, taking turns driving while the other manages deliveries and collections
Requirements
* Category B driving licence
* Confident driving a Transit or Luton van
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, punctual, and organised
* Ability to carry and move heavy loads
