About Aerosensor
Aerosensor designs and manufactures high-precision aerodynamic measurement devices used from elite cycling to Formula One. We launched our first products in 2023 and, in July 2025, moved into a new laboratory at Dunsfold Park, home to our world-class probe calibration wind tunnel, capable of calibrating across wide onset-angle ranges at airspeeds up to 275 mph. Our mission is to become the global leader in aerodynamic measurement.
The Role
We are looking for a practical and detail-oriented technician to assemble and calibrate our aerodynamic probes. You will work in our lab, building precision components, carrying out calibration runs in our custom wind tunnel, and helping to ensure every instrument meets our exacting standards before delivery to customers in motorsport, aerospace, and research.
This is a hands-on role where care, patience, and attention to detail are more important than prior experience — full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble precision probe components and sub-assemblies.
* Operate calibration equipment, including our wind tunnel.
* Follow established procedures to carry out accurate calibrations.
* Record and document build steps, calibration data, and test results.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving build or calibration issues.
* Help maintain lab organisation, stock control, and equipment upkeep.
Requirements
* Practical, hands-on skills with good attention to detail.
* Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
* Comfortable working with small precision components.
* Basic IT literacy (Excel or similar) for recording results.
* Right to work in the UK (essential).
Nice to Have
* Experience in an assembly, test, or lab technician role.
* Familiarity with precision instrumentation, electronics, or mechanical systems.
* Understanding of calibration, measurement, or metrology processes.
What We Offer
* Full training in assembly and calibration techniques.
* Opportunity to work with unique aerodynamic technology at the forefront of motorsport and research.
* 25 days' holiday + bank holidays.
* Company pension.
* Free on-site parking.
