IDEXX is seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Facilities Coordinator, to be based in Wetherby, United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in an interesting corporate setting (both a corporate office and a laboratory). We're looking for someone who is not afraid to take on responsibility, shows initiative and is a keen learner! The facilities Coordinator, supervised by the Facilities Manager UK, will be responsible for all facilities services in our laboratory in Wetherby. The aim is to achieve operational agility and flexibility, high employee engagement, cost excellence and safe & sustainable FM operations. This role has a strong customer mindset – you'll be working with multiple different internal and external teams, be a strategic partner for the business operations of the site, and the go to person for facilities related enquiries! In this Role you will: Provide point of internal customer contact for facilities support and services Responsible for receiving, dispatching and following up on (maintenance) work orders Maintaining building and installation maintenance schedules (PPM) Manage and monitor operational FM services and drive continuous improvement Manage site related risks and support business continuity activities Manage small projects such as internal office and lab moves in conjunction with the Facilities Manager Responsible for administrative facilities tasks (e.g. soliciting quotes for services, invoice verification, purchase order creation. Manages relations with 3rd party suppliers (e.g. maintenance, cleaning, waste handling, grounds & gardens etc.) whilst complying with IDEXX screening standards and purchasing procedures Performs building audits to identify the need and/or opportunity for maintenance & repair and keeping the building in a nice and tidy appearance to meet IDEXX H&S Standards Overseeing the general office supplies for the site, ordering Facilities items required for the business Maintaining waste streams and ensure the date is recorded for sustainability reporting Supports technology implementation (e.g. space management modules, CMMS system, energy monitoring and work order systems) Participate where applicable in meetings regarding HSE etc Maintain the quality system ensuring SOP and documents are revised and up to date in accordance with our Quality standards. Assisting with Emergency fire evacuation for the site and ensuring the Fire marshals are up to date and compliant. Set up and clearing of meeting rooms for onsite meetings, ensuring all areas are tidy Take part in Wellness incentives for the site Being ‘on call’ to respond to afterhours alarms or coordination of some activities when required to minimize disruption to normal operations What You Will Need to Succeed: A proactive mindset – we're looking for someone who’s happy to get things done A love of organisation and coordination Customer orientated, in this role your customers are internal, and you’ll work across a wide variety of internal stakeholders in the corporate office and the labs Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously A natural trouble shooter Affinity with the technical environment Ability to work both individually and as a team player PC skills, including Microsoft Office and preferably SAP Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management and/or qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Installations and/or 3 years of proven experience in Facilities Management or Property Management We’re proud of the work we do, because our work matters.
