This is a fixed term/secondment post until 28/02/2026. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.
We are looking for an ambitious, passionate and talented individual to help make a positive impact within the Health Board's Operational Workforce Team.
Hywel Dda in one of the largest healthcare provides in Wales delivering acute, intermediate, mental health, community and primary care services for almost 400,000 people living in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.
The Workforce and Organisational Development function in Hywel Dda is in an exciting position, as we have embarked on a new vision and direction based on an HR disrupted approach to our policy work and kinder people processes, for the management of employee relations issues.
Main duties of the job As the Senior Workforce Advisor for the Pembrokeshire team, you will provide expertise and advice to managers across the County on a range of operational areas of HR, including the management of sickness absence, disciplinary and performance matters and organisational change.
You will develop positive relationships with managers and employees and work with colleagues across the Workforce and Organisational Development function to identify people centred solutions.

About us Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.
Our services are provided in:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. If you do not meet the Welsh Language requirements specified, the Health Board offers a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet these minimal desirable requirements during the course of your employment with us.

Person Specification Qualifications & Knowledge Graduate Member of CIPD
Degree or equivalent level of experience
Evidence of continuing professional development
Extensive knowledge of employment law
HPMA member
ECDL
Broad understanding of Agenda for Change
Other Flexible approach to the needs of the service
Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner
Level 1 Welsh
Experience Generalist HR experience
Working in partnership with TU's in a Unionised environment
Working in a multidisciplinary environment and across departments/County
Disciplinary issues
NHS Experience
Experience of managing organisational change & advising on staff consultation

£37,898 to £45,637 a yearper annum (pro rata if part time)
