Morson Talent currently has an opportunity for a Tool Store Warehouse Operative to work on behalf of our aerospace client at RAF Brize Norton. This is a temporary role with potential for extension.
Job Description:
Our client at RAF Brize Norton supports the Royal Air Force Customer, working closely with the C-17 operational team to provide real-time assistance. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the RAF customer and various agencies supporting the C-17 fleet, managing retail supply and tooling operations at the Main Operating Base, RAF Brize Norton.
Responsibilities:
* Use applications such as GOLDEsp, WoW, MJDI, PUBLOG, Haystack, C17 Technical Orders, and cargo tracking.
* Issue and receive high volumes of hand tools, test equipment, and FLAP.
* Check tool kits for serviceability, replace or request new tools as needed.
* Replenish consumable tool kits.
* Loan tools to other units at Brize Norton.
* Conduct a 100% tool check at the start and end of each shift.
* Support maintenance teams with part issues and queries.
* Manage PPE and uniform supplies.
* Perform inventory management, including stocktaking, reporting, shelf-life reviews, and resolving inventory errors.
* Store and issue all C-17 managed and RAF-owned materials, including parts from DLA, AMC, repairables, consumables, and hazardous materials.
* Provide demand and requisition status for parts.
* Induct and repair repairable assets and components.
* Operate company van for parts collection.
* Support warehouse quality and safety audits.
Requirements:
* Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
* Active UK Driving License.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with warehouse MHE and manual handling of parts/equipment.
* Active Civilian Forklift Counterbalance and Reach truck licenses.
* Knowledge of supply applications like GOLDEsp, Warehouse on Web, PUBLOG/HAYSTACK, and technical orders.
* Understanding of HAZMAT regulations, FOD/Debris management, and airworthiness processes.
This shift-based, customer-facing position is expected to end around 1 July 2025, with potential for extension. Shifts follow a two-week pattern: Week 1 Days, Week 2 Lates.
