St John’s Church, Highbridge needs a Vicar
One Church!
We are the parish church of Highbridge, a small, growing community sandwiched between the seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea and the Somerset Levels.
Striving to be a church open to everyone, we want to reach out to the people of our parish in ways that touch their lives with the love of Christ. Important, because many in our town live with significant deprivation.
We are looking for the kind of Vicar who, rooted in the love of Christ, will …
* Become one with us, over time, in the shared task of showing and sharing Christ’s love
* Encourage us to know, grow and use our abilities
* Discover with us worship, word, prayer, and fellowship that builds up the body of Christ and shows Highbridge Christ’s love
* Alongside us, engage with our community, schools, churches and other agencies so that we work together well for Highbridge
* Become a Magnificat kind of priest for our Magnificat church in our Magnificat town!
