Overview

CPFT is looking to build upon its pool of temporary workers with Temporary Staffing Services (TSS). You will be asked at interview if you would be willing to register with TSS. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take on additional hours that are flexible around your personal circumstances.

CPFT is an NHS health and social care organisation offering a wide range of services, including integrated physical and mental health services for adults and older people; specialist mental health and learning disability services; children and young people's mental health services; children's community services in Peterborough; social care; and ground-breaking research. Responsibilities

* To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own and delegated work.
* To work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
* To undertake holistic assessment (including those with complex presentations and multi-pathologies) using clinical reasoning skills.
* To use evidence-based practice to ensure clinical care is effective and appropriate.
* To promote independence and, wherever possible, to avoid hospital admission and reduce inpatient length of stay, ensuring patients receive care in the most appropriate setting.
* Organise and manage your own time, delegating work appropriately.
* Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety assessments, including reporting any changes or newly identified risks immediately.
* Demonstrate the importance of gaining patient and carer consent in all interventions.
* Ensure accurate and timely written records comply with Trust policy and HCPC guidance, reporting on any issues as appropriate.

Staff development within CPFT is highly valued and you will be supported to attend relevant internal and external courses to develop your knowledge and skills to improve clinical practice as identified as part of your Appraisal process.

Education/Qualifications


Essential criteria

* Degree or equivalent, e.g. BSc, MSc or Diploma entry level qualification into the OT profession
* Current HCPC registration
* Documented evidence of own continuing professional development
* Willingness to undertake Fieldwork/Practice Educator qualification


Desirable criteria

* Member of COT
* Fieldwork/Practice Educator qualification


Experience


Essential criteria

* Relevant post-graduate clinical experience in a variety of settings
* Clinical supervisor
* Experience and knowledge of housing legislation, minor and major adaptations or willingness to train in this area


Desirable criteria

* Community Experience
* Equipment Provision


Skills & Abilities


Essential criteria

* Able to demonstrate commitment to high quality care and service provision
* Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Good report writing
* Able to assess plan and implement care
* Support Integrated Care Workers
* Standard keyboard skills and ability to communicate through IT using packages such as Word
* Time Management and prioritisation skills
