Quality Inspector (CMM)
The Role
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector with expertise in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation and programming. You will be responsible for inspecting precision components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the production process.
This position is based in Oxfordshire, reporting directly to the Head of Production. A highly competitive remuneration package is offered, including salary and potential equity incentives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform dimensional inspections using manual or CNC-controlled CMM equipment.
2. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications.
3. Program CMM machines using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar.
4. Manage and maintain the control plan.
5. Conduct first article inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final inspections.
6. Document inspection results and generate comprehensive quality reports.
7. Identify and report non-conformances, assisting in root cause analysis.
8. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
