The Role
The Head of Talent and Early Careers is responsible for designing and executing talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees. With a particular focus on early careers pipelines, this role ensures the organisation has the right talent to meet future workforce needs.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Governance - Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition and retention strategy aligned with business goals and lead Early careers programme.
* Operational Excellence - Talent Pipeline Management& Early Careers Strategy: Ensure a steady supply of high-potential candidates and oversee EC strategy
* Financial Accountability - Budget Management: Manage the talent acquisition budget, ensuring cost-effective hiring practices.
* Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Candidate & community engagement: Enhance engagement through AI-driven recruitment tools and partner with the Social Value Team to coordinate talent initiatives .
* People & Team Development - Build and mentor a high-performing talent and early careers team.
* Innovation and Continuous Improvement - AI & Data-Driven Hiring: Utilise AI to improve recruitment insights, reduce bias, and enhance hiring decisions.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in leading talent acquisition and early careers programmes within a complex organisation.
* Experience in designing and implementing diversity and inclusion hiring strategies.
* Demonstrated success in developing employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
* Experience managing hiring budgets and measuring recruitment ROI.
