Job Purpose
As part of Controls & Automation, the FlowManager Services team is responsible for our multiphase flow simulator FlowManager®. The team develops, delivers and maintains applications and services building on this simulator, within metering, flow assurance and integrity. The team actively follows up the performance of installed systems and supports our customers with maintenance and calibration. Our current customers are Operators of oil and gas fields in charge of optimizing the production on short term and long term, but our capabilities are just as relevant in renewables and low carbon energy projects such as Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). We are now looking for a motivated engineering professional interested in joining and contributing to the digital transformation of the subsea industry. This position is part of our Sensing, Analytics and Feedback department in Kongsberg, Norway.
Job Description
The scope for this position includes configuration, testing and field support of online real time applications supporting Life of Field for our global customer base, such as Virtual Flow Metering (VFM), Leak detection Systems (LDS) and Flow Assurance Systems (FAS), all based on our FlowManager® technology. The purpose of field support is to actively follow up the performance of fields in operation with respect to production and flow assurance, with focus on giving advice for Production Management. This role will as well support development of new functionality for our online systems. As a Senior Engineer within FlowManager Services, you will be cooperating closely with our Engineering Center in Krakow and TechnipFMC regional service centers across the globe.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible for work tasks across value stream such as project deliveries, product improvements and field support
2. Designing and configuring web-based online applications for Production Services (metering (VFM), integrity (LDS) and production support (FAS))
3. Configuration and testing of online application modules using TechnipFMC Watch framework
4. Implementing technical solutions for the online applications according to project specification and field technical details
5. Designing GUIs in TechnipFMC Watch proprietary framework
6. Preparing and executing FAT and IFAT testing, defining test setup and test scenarios, writing test reports
7. Registering and analyzing issues, findings, and improvement proposals in our Service management system
8. Working closely with other project team members to secure on-time and on-budget project deliveries
9. Provide field support of online applications in close collaboration with customers globally
You are meant for this job if:
10. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in one of the engineering fields: Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with focus on production optimization and integrity
11. Experience in use of multiphase flow modelling tools and systems
12. 7+ years of experience with configuration, testing and field support of online Production Services applications
13. Working knowledge of JIRA or other Agile project management tools
14. Knowledge of Confluence or other collaboration tools
15. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
16. Basic knowledge of Phyton, JavaScript and/or HTML 5
17. Ability to effectively operate in the global product, project and service team environment
18. Ability to effectively perform field support activities of our online applications in close collaboration with customers
19. Strong oral and written communication skills in English (B2)
